Laguna Gateway, a 400,000 square foot regional shopping center in Elk Grove, California, was facing the challenge of familiarizing their consumers with their brand and their many unique stores along with increasing foot traffic around the center; particularly since it is segmented into four different parcels. They were also facing the challenge of having limited shopper engagement and reach online.
ClickSpring designed a promotion with an email opt-in to give away two $100 gift cards to the Laguna Gateway business of their choice through a third party social application. An original branded graphic was designed and used across all channels to encourage fans and shoppers to enter the promotion. The contest ran for 15 days and was mentioned on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram throughout the promotion.
Laguna Gateway obtained 119 email subscribers, 240 contest entries, 34 Facebook page likes, 35 friend invites, 96 Facebook shares, 16 Twitter shares and 1,115 visits to their Facebook page within a two-week period. They have seen increased engagement rates upwards of 38% since this original promotion and continue to grow their social media audience.
