On Give Local America day, the Sacramento Region Community Foundation (SRCF) ran a 24-hour online campaign to raise funds for local non-profits. 400 non-profits participated in the “Big Day of Giving” (Big DoG) and the goal was to raise over $1 million. Sacramento Children’s Chorus (SCC) hired ClickSpring to help them create a social media campaign to reach potential donors, win a challenge, and stand out from the crowd.
ClickSpring created a social media campaign strategy for SCC including content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; Facebook ads, and strategy for 2 of the Big DoG social media challenges. We managed a Facebook advertising campaign to drive potential donors to the donation page. On the Big DoG, ClickSpring assisted SCC with interacting on Twitter, posting live updates, and thanking donors via tweets throughout the day.
During the 24-hour fundraiser, SCC raised over $11,000 – almost triple what they raised the previous year during the same fundraiser. In addition, they won a bonus challenge for our activity on Twitter, earning them an additional $250 donation. Our advertising efforts and social media management resulted in them gaining an additional 119 Facebook fans and 20 Twitter followers during the campaign.
